2017 Impact Report

Because of you .jpg

Hundreds of people in Metro Vancouver were cared for with dignity, creativity and compassion on the most difficult days of their lives.

In The Lipstick Project’s fifth year of services, you empowered us to reach 655 men, women and children with free, professional hair, nail and massage services. Thank you for being such an important part of our team. It is a true joy to have you on board and we are tremendously grateful for your constant encouragement and support.

Here’s a short snap shot of what you made possible in 2017 by being a part of this community.  As always, our services are free for our clients and delivered by a team of stellar volunteers.

During these services I felt alive for the first time since coming to the hospice - I wish I had started getting manicures before!

I am very grateful that I’m part of The Lipstick Project. It’s really meaningful and a great feeling to help others - giving joyful and positive energy to others. Working in the hospital environment especially makes you appreciate and cherish good health. It’s a great opportunity to learn about life, how to live a good life, how to give back to the community. For your entire life, you’re always learning. This is good learning for how to deal with difficult situations, how to have a strong heart and how to love your family more.
